Send Us Your Plans for an Underfloor Heating Design
To prepare an accurate underfloor heating design and quotation, we need a clear plan of the area you would like to heat.
You can upload your design as either a PDF or JPEG.
We accept everything from simple room measurements through to full architectural drawings and hand-drawn plans.
Architectural Drawings
Architectural floor plans are ideal, particularly for larger, multi-room or whole-property underfloor heating systems. Detailed drawings allow us to understand the room layout and accurately plan the underfloor heating system.
When uploading architectural drawings, please provide or clearly indicate:
Simple Room Sizes
For a single room, you don’t necessarily need architectural plans. A simple drawing showing the room dimensions can be enough.
Please also tell us where the boiler or heat source is located, as this helps us determine how the pipework will be routed back to the manifold.
Ideally, the manifold should be positioned close to the area containing the underfloor heating pipework. For multi-room systems, a central manifold position is generally preferred.
Thermostats & Controls
Let us know which type of thermostat you would prefer:
Wired | Wireless | Smart
Thermostat position is also important. They should not be positioned in direct sunlight or close to appliances that produce heat, as this can affect the thermostat’s temperature reading and the control of the underfloor heating system.
Tell Us How You Want the System Zoned
Please indicate how you would like individual areas or rooms controlled.
As a general principle, closed rooms will normally require their own thermostat. In some situations, adjoining areas can be controlled together — for example, a hallway thermostat may be used to control both the hallway and a small adjoining WC.
We can discuss the most suitable zoning arrangement for your property when reviewing your plans.
Final Floor Coverings
Please tell us the proposed final floor covering for each area, where possible.
This is important because different floor finishes can affect the specification and quotation, particularly where temperature-sensitive flooring is being installed.
